Pizza is synonymous with Italy and from September 3rd to 8th, the city of Naples will host the Napoli Pizza Village. It is an event dedicated to – you guessed it – pizza and will this year be the scene of the World Pizza Maker Championship. Entrance is free and together with around 45 participating pizzerias (including one offering gluten-free products), there will also music, cabaret, and workshops.
“Its tradition and culture make Naples the ideal location for the third edition of Napoli Pizza Village, which will take place along the famous and charming Caracciolo promenade.
A big event realized thanks to the support and commitment of Ministero delle Politiche Agricole, Alimentari e Forestali, Comune di Napoli and commercial partners.
Napoli Pizza Village represents an opportunity for workers in the field but most of all for the general public, and is animated by the presence of about 40 among the most renowned Neapolitan pizzerias.
Absolutely free entry, the 2013 edition will take place within the Rotonda Diaz pedestrian area from September 3 to 8.
A village where music, cabaret, entertainment, workshops, sport and show performances draw the attention on the real and sole protagonist: pizza.
This third edition boasts a big novelty among the others. In fact for the first time Napoli Pizza Village will be the scene of the World Pizza Maker Championship – Trofeo Caputo XII edition.
Pizza makers from all over the world will compete in different contest categories thus offering a unique show of skill and practise combined with talent and competition.”
