An initiative of New Nordic Food II, Gastro Åland takes place on April 1st and 2nd on the Åland Islands. ” Inspirational days aimed at Ålandic chefs, food producers, tourism companies, government officials and politicians.
Gastro Åland will start on 1 April with an Ålandic breakfast at the Restaurant School where Paul Svensson will give a lecture “Does the future lie with local production?” After that, chefs and food producers, in partnership with Paul Svensson and Adrian Bäckman from the Restaurant Nautical, will produce exciting tasty innovations and provide inspiration to try new flavours.
On 2 April there will be a seminar at Alandica and the chance to mingle on Mattorget amongst the Ålandic products and tasty food creations from the very first day. The programme includes buying food and the success story of serving locally produced food in Astrid Lindgren’s World. In the break you can try “Cheers with cabbage” in the juice bar. “
