Chocolate lovers should be prepared to indulge themselves at the Dunedin Cadbury Chocolate Carnival in Dunedin, New Zealand. Starting July 20th, each day is filled with chocolate-inspired events and wraps up with the Cadbury Jaffa Race on July 26th.

“The annual Dunedin Cadbury Chocolate Carnival is celebrating its 13th birthday in 2013 and is set to be bigger and better than ever. The Carnival, which runs this year from Saturday 20th July to Friday 26th July, will host 53 events over seven days with the aim to raise as much money for charity as possible.
Highlights for the 2013 Dunedin Cadbury Chocolate Carnival include the ever popular Crunchie Train ride, the Cadbury Couture Fashion Show and of course the Cadbury Jaffa Race. New events this year include the Cadbury World Adventure Quest and the City of Chocolate Tours.
Cadbury New Zealand Managing Director, Alastair De Raadt is thrilled at the Carnival’s longevity. “We are really excited about bringing Joyville to the Dunedin Cadbury Chocolate Carnival in 2013; it is one of the highlights of our calendars. Not only does it attract tourism and deliver benefits to the local economy, it also raises thousands of dollars for charities and each year is getting bigger and better. I’m sure that everyone attending any of the Carnival events will be feeling the joy,” said Alastair.
Carnival Opening Day will be marked with the opening of a Joyville portal at Meridian Mall on Saturday July 20th from 10am-3pm. This will include a chocolate tempering demonstration and the chance for people to sample delicious liquid chocolate in a truly Joyville inspired environment.
The Joyville Mayor will also be presenting Dunedin Mayor, Dave Cull, with a chocolate key to Joyville to officially open the Carnival.
The Dunedin Cadbury Chocolate Carnival celebrates the joining of winter and chocolate in Dunedin and showcases great events that appeal to people of all ages, with something for everyone to enjoy.”
