Travel Gluttons loves beer and if we find ourselves in Copenhagen, Denmark, on May 2nd and 3rd, we will surely pay a visit to the Copenhagen Beer Celebration. Hosted by Mikkeller, this celebration of craft beer will feature cold brews from all over the world.
” This years Copenhagen Beer Celebration is going to be a blast – 4 sessions – 40 breweries – 320 different beers.
The Celebration has grown every single year, and has become more and more exclusive. The year 2012 was the first year of the Celebration, at that time there was 184 different beers – it is incredible how Copenhagen Beer Celebration has grown in just two years! This year Mikkeller has invited 40 of the world’s most extreme craft brewers to an old athletics arena in Copenhagen, Sparta Hallen. Each brewery brings their eight craziest beers to the celebration – 320 different beers in total. The goal is simply to celebrate them and their fantastic beer in a relaxed context. To supplement the brewers, a number of innovative chefs are joining the celebration with small food stalls.
What
There will be four different sessions during the Celebration – Yellow, Blue, Red and Green.
All brewers will bring only two different kegs of beer for each session – all beers are paid for via the ticket, but when the kegs are empty they are empty.
