Its name doesn’t tell the full story as the Apollo Bay Seafood Festival on Australia’s south coast offers seafood and so much more. Local producers take front and centre stage in Apollo, with everything “from berries to Shitake mushrooms, from beers to truffles and all of the fruits de mer” available.

Lobster was one of the stars of last year’s show.

“Seafood lovers take note! Mark Saturday 22 February 2014 in your diary and grab your family, friends and picnic rug and head on down to Victoria’s own “Paradise by the Sea – Apollo Bay” as we host the Apollo Bay Seafood Festival. A free fun day out for all!

The day kicks off from 10.00am with cooking demonstrations, live music from artists featured at the Apollo Bay Music Festival, roving performers, a farmer’s market featuring local produce, wine, beer and of course – seafood in abundance!

Chris Talihmanidis of award-winning Chris’s Restaurant is back again to host a cooking demonstration during the day, his special lobster dish winning a legion of fans at last year’s festival.

The event has been made possible with the support of Otway Estate Winery and Brewery, Prickly Moses, Tourism Victoria and Colac Otway Shire.”
