Do you dream of visiting King’s Landing?

It all started with a blog called Inn at the Crossroads, which was started in May 2011 by Chelsea and Sariann. Their aim was to recreate some of the recipes that featured in A Song of Ice and Fire, one of their favorite series. While they delved deep into the world of Westeros, recreating cuisine from the series, their fan base grew highlighting just how important food is to the Game of Thrones story-line.

Dothraki blood pies, anyone?

In 2012, Sariann and Chelsea’s  hard work paid off with the introduction of A Feast of Ice and Fire:  The Official Game of Thrones Companion Cookbook.

‘Hungry again?’ he asked. There was still half a honeyed chicken in the center of the table. Jon reached out to tear off a leg, then had a better idea. He knifed the bird whole and let the carcass slide to the floor between his legs. Ghost ripped into it in savage silence. -A Game of Thrones

You can follow Chelsea and Sariann’s food adventures on Inn at the Crossroads or if you are ready to dive in to making your own Dothraki Blood Pies, why not grab a copy of the cookbook?
